<idAbs>2010 Orthophoto - Orthoimagery data produced for the District of Columbia from spring, leaf off, 2010 digital aerial photography flown on April 2 and 3, 2010. The development of 2010 orthophoto imagery is a component of an overall project commissioned by the District of Columbia to conduct a comprehensive photogrammetric mapping and GIS update of its imagery and planimetric GIS data layers. The project area for the 2010 project covers the entire District of Columbia and immediate surrounding area equaling approximately 80 square miles. The multispectral digital imagery was used to create natural color digital orthophotography with 16cm pixel resolution. The final orthophotography deliverable products for this project consist of 328 ortho tiles in GeoTIFF format at a design scale of 1:1200 meeting an ASPRS Class 1 horizontal accuracy of 1 foot RMSExy. The ortho tile dimensions are 800 meters by 800 meters. A single corresponding MrSid image (mg3) was created by mosaicking the 328 ortho tiles together and compressing the image using an 80 to 1 compression ratio. All DC GIS data is stored and exported in Maryland State Plane coordinates NAD 83 meters.</idAbs>
